Clippngs bug; Won't show up
Is this operator error, or a DP bug?
I have a list of various DP Clipping windows, but they do not show up in the Clipping Window list on a new project unless I make a new DP Clipping, then they all magically appear. Needless to say I then get a buildup of a bunch of empty clipping windows because I have to do this every time I want to access a clipping window in a new project.
Advice? Am I doing something wrong here? I have a feeling I am missing something.
Thanks, guys.

I can't make this happen with DP 5.13. Whenever I create a new project or open an older project, all DP clipping windows open. I suspect that there might be a problem with the template you're using to create the new project. What happens if you create a new project using one of the templates that is bundled with DP (such as Empty)?

I've had this problem for 5 years, since pre-OSX days for me.
My solution is to keep the clippings folder in the dock.
It's quicker to navigate, clips always appear in alphabetical order (or you can sort them any way you like) and you don't have to constantly drag files to where they ought to be in the list.
Further, you can employ icons to good effect this way...

Novation, Yamaha & Roland Synths, Guitar & Bass, Kemper Rack

I started doing this too and it's so much better. I've written MOTU asking for better clipping management, but using the Finder is actually pretty handy.monkey man wrote:My solution is to keep the clippings folder in the dock. Same here
I've had the same problem as long as I've used DP. I use the finder too.
