Ripper! I've got 2 images now:

OSX 10.5.1+NET
OSX 10.5.1+NET+ALL MOTU

Next will be:
OSX 10.5.1+NET+ALL AUDIO DRIVERS, PLUGS & APPS

... and lastly:
OSX 10.5.1+NET+ALL AUDIO+GAMES, SAVERS & MISC APPS

... by which time I'll have to start over and do these all again for DP6.

For some reason, even though permissions are set perfectly (apparently, according to DU), restored images so far have all required a little fixing.
A typical repair log might be:

Repairing permissions for ••œD- OSX+MOTU••

Mac 2012 12C Cheese Grater, OSX 10.13.6
MOTU DP8.07, MachFive 3.2.1, MIDI Express XT, 24I/O
Novation, Yamaha & Roland Synths, Guitar & Bass, Kemper Rack

Ha! I've done this every time, and I was worried I was being too cautious. :D
I've now made several images, and they've all done this, as far as I can remember.

You might have created a monster - I'm turning into an image freak!
To think I've spent thousands on blank discs these past 5 or 6 years when I could've been copying images to an external.

Glad you're still around, Steve.
If I may, thank you again for your invaluable help.

It almost looks like you booted from an older OS and cloned a newer OS. I say that because of all the ACL Missing errors. ACL is new to Leopard, but was part of Tiger Server (not client).

Could that have been the case??

And...you are very welcome. Glad I've been helpful.

Interesting, Steve, but no, I've only got 10.5.1 installed.

Last night "Unix Executable" files started taking over my rig (sort of).
It used to be that a large chunk of my IR collection was deemed UE, and I'd made it a part-time project to try to sort this out, but now text files, PDFs, CueMix configs, ClockWorks configs, and God knows which other files have succumbed to the new identity.

The main purpose of my logging on tonight was to be to try to sort this out by means of a dedicated thread, so I'll start one, but will check back here too in case you get a brainwave.
This is frustrating 'cause these are my backup files too; they've been duplicated across several partitions and drives. :?

Thank you again for your continued support, Steve. :D

I've revived this ol' baby 'cause i think I've nailed the cause of the horrific permissions problem.
MainMenu, as I suspected, wasn't Leo compatible when I ran it (v 1.7.2).

Now it is with this 1.7.3 release:

EDIT: Wow. I just stumbled across the comment I thought I'd made.
From the "Do you sleep your Mac or turning it of after every work day?" thread:
monkey man wrote:Yeah, I used to use Cocktail, YASU, Onyx and MainMenu.
All good apps, IMHO.

When I upgraded to Leopard, I ran MainMenu, as it was the only UB maintenance app I had at the time.
I think it might have been responsible for the massive permissions issues I've experienced, so since the last reinstall I haven't touched maintenance apps.

When I've got the guts, I'll try all three apps again one day. :D
It's gratifying to have a fully-functioning 8bit MonkeyMemory•„• module.
