I vote for this too. Maybe even: double click+ modifier on bite in tracks window (or SE) opens up a pop out gigantic window zoomed in to that point with the pitch layer active.toodamnhip wrote:Another needed fix in DP 6 would be that when in the pitch window, DP knows what the user has highlighted and can zoom in on it.
In all other windows, if you click on a spot, for example. on a tiny piece of a waveform or a volume breakpoint, you can then hit zoom and the computer zooms exactly in on that. In the pitch window, click a pitch and hit zoom and DP instead zooms to the bar beat location you are parked at...
I WOULD love to click a tiny piece of pitch info and hit zoom and have DP go to that exact location...now, I have to highlight that areas location in the bar beats, time bar to get DP to zoom to that location..this wastes a lot of time.

Anything I select will zoom in to itself when I hit "Z".
Go into the command menu and find "zoom to selection" or something like that..
The, give it a key command and you're all set..it is very handy and it IS AVAILABLE NOW

That only works for horizontal zoom and you can't set it to jump the pitch layer either.toodamnhip wrote: I have ZOOm set this way now Bro!

zoom settings are a bit on the p*ss in DP - PT's E key is the way... click soundbite click E - thats wot you sEE
suppose you can drag zzzz box around area - but it's a drag man
it seems DP should be able to do it - after all it will jump back thru all recent views ( apple [ ) but not too smart -
can preset zooms - but again thats only the horizontal - not vertical

Uh, hey Mr. East Coast, we drink Lattes and other fancy sounding drinks here in LA. But DP is an East coast company, so there's little chance of getting an espresso feature. I guess I'll have to start drinking <gag> coffee.Tripi wrote: I'm happy to do my own editing, but if they could add a "Coffee Brewing" feature to DP.......... I think I speak for all LA composers............... it would be PERFECT!
At least a "transmit sync to coffee pot" option

Nice gear, Mr. Hemi.
Geez... what I could do with that lot...
Just generic ROMpler-style boxes over here.
At least they work with any OS.

Fair enough. Your rig would surely sound amazing though, IMHO, given the variety of sources you have there.
Mine are just generic bread and butter boxes.
Heck, my piano sound is the P50-m from the Cretaceous period.

New drivers announced today. (March 20, 2008) That means the upgrade train is about to arrive. I predicted they'd announce on March 28. That would be a week from tomorrow. Looking more and more likely that the train is going to be on time. Get ready to climb aboard, and hold on to your hats; wild ride ahead.

Actually, the date says March 4. Sorry about that. Someone posted it today, and I went to see it, but I did not notice that it's actually been there for 2 weeks. Nevertheless, new drivers are almost always released before a DP upgrade.

Hmmm. What if it's all a ruse and we all only get a driver update in lieu of a DP6 upgrade?Shooshie wrote:Nevertheless, new drivers are almost always released before a DP upgrade. Shooshie
Now I'm scared. No wait. Not scared. More like concerned but with low level, non-specific agitation. Yes, that sounds about right.
[Damn, I knew this was a cult!]
Success is just one more plugin away! And happiness is as close as your next upgrade.
