I think you are saying that the soundbite gets bigger or smaller AFTER the gain change has been applied by merging the file,,,martian wrote:it does. if you use the clip sound bite gain ( as opposed to volume) just split the sounbites in the quiet and then set soundbite clip gain ( assign a keystroke for it! )toodamnhip wrote:How about this?
When one edits the soundbite level, the waveform should Shrink as I lower the bite volume...or expand as I raise it.
I always have to guess how many db when there is a word punched that is louder. If the waveform shrunk or expanded as I added or subtracted Db's from the 'bite" vol, it would be most helpful!
I could see my edit and be more accurate..it's not that I can't guess DB;s. but this feature would really be helpful.
DP 6 - I just hope they fix what they broke in the leap from 5.11 to 5.12 - I'm stuck in 5.11 because I use DP almost exclusively with firewire video and the quicktime offset is not stable for PAL systems after they added the "party streamers" output thru the firewire
I just won't be upgrading until this issue is fixed.... it would be a waste of my cash!
But while one is adjust the bite gain. the waveforms size does NOT change. This is what I want, i want it to change WHILE adjusting the bite gain to reflect the change IN REAL TIME as I apply gain change. After I merge the new gain amount it is too late..that doesn;t really help any.
REALTIME WAVESIZE CHANGE AS ONE APPLIES BITE GAIN CHANGE.
