Here is my list of problems
* Can't record any mic inputs with the new driver (XP x64)
* MIDI input produces random note-on events
* MIDI output doesn't work at all
* When an ASIO program crashes, usually results in a blue screen of death, whereas in XP 32, the OS keeps running
No problems in XP 32-bit.

x64 3.6.8.1133 driver issues
Running XP x64. I have 4 gigs of RAM. Audio seems to go well. MIDI is a problem.
* It's very slow. From my external syntesizer into Sonar 7 is MUCH slower than in x86 (32bits XP). It has a very high latency
* Input produces random note on events (like previous poster)
I am now installing service pack 2. I'll post more if I find more.

x64
Yes I'm running 64 bits Sonar. I have the same MIDI issues in other apps though. When I am running for example NI Pro53 standalone I get the same drops and note on events. Latency could be a Sonar problem because that seems to be better in the standalone NI synth.
Re: x64
Yeah, that's a bummer. I am using another card for MIDI for now because it's unusable with the 8pre.Rinmeister wrote:Yes I'm running 64 bits Sonar. I have the same MIDI issues in other apps though. On the bright side, you should be able to get really low latency.

Back to 32 bits
I posted a techlink yesterday for my x64 driver issues. I cannot afford though to wait for that (it is still marked as "unread")! So I went back to my 32bits XP configuration, which works very nicely with the new drivers. The x64 configuration in terms of audio has much improved. I could not detect any flaws in combination with the 4 gigs RAM memory I have. MIDI-wise things are very bad indeed. Cannot work with it. I hope MOTU comes with an answer soon 'cause I want to be able to use my 4 Gigs!
Mills, just out of curiosity, how do you measure the speed increase with these new drivers?
All the best, Rene
