New 8 core MACS CD burners Don't do irc or disk info anymore.

Please confirm this somebody.

Boy am I glad I still have my G5!

I saw somewhere that there is a firmware update for those Optiarch drives because of some problems. Try Goolging it.

I took the Superdrive out of my dead G5 and put it into the second optical drive bay of the new 8 core. Maybe that would work for you.

Yep I was thinin the same thing but I really want to keep my G5 in tact for a while as I don't trust the new machine yet.

I'll look for that update. Thanks
