For my studio, this is the most stable release yet. The new movie export features have helped out our workflow a lot.
VRack••“••“I know this is a welcome addition for many that rely on chunks or VIs••“••“though some will argue that its more of a work around than a silver bullet.
UAD and DP is as stable as ever.

Haven't tested on my 1.33 Powerbook••“••“others on the forum might have specific real-world performance examples for you though...

I don't have a powerbuck however if you are using TIGER ( you don't mention which OS you are using ) adjust spotlight to just "find" applications. Spot is always updating itself which I discvoered can lead to unexpected quits/crashes in some programmes such as DP and SX3.

DP 4.6 has been 100% solid on my powerbook 1Gz/1Gig runing 10.39.

I still have 4.52 on the same machine just incase, but I've never had to revert back to that as 4.6 has been reliale for me.

I'm new to DP4.6 & G5 osx. I have been using a G4 OS9.2 with DPxx for some time now. I tried the external firewire drives and kept getting error messages saying the drive isnt fast enough to work from. So I have to move it onto an internal drive to work on it and then B/U to the external drive.
I make all artist purchase their own HD.

I use an external Firewire drive by Glyph (80GB, 7200 rpm, Oxford Chipset, 400 Mb/sec) which handles about 40 stereo tracks of audio with ease. Probably a lot, lot more; I just haven't really paid attention. It's never given me any kind of error. Yet.
