"Error #-5000 while verifying your authorization."

Post by ewillhelm »

So yup, I tried installing M52 on my dual 1GHz PowerPC G4 with 1GB RAM, and I get that message. And yup, I first installed v2 and then updated to 2.0.2 AND made sure I had the Interlok extension installed etc. AND I have my authorized iLok inserted (the program runs fine on my main work machine, just trying to use the standalone version at home for some fun).

Oh, and of course, in the same window that gives me the above message, it ALSO provides the illuminating bonus advice 'Unknown error' beneath that.

And yes, I've uninstalled and re-installed. Same thing.

Anybody know what might be gong on here?

error #-5000 fix

Hi,

I had the same problem. Then, I re installed my iLok Pace app. This seemed to fix the error and now MachFive 2.02 launches fine.

hope this helps.

Depending on what OS-version you 're on. Download and install the latest version of iLok if you haven't....

Yup, I tried re-installing the iLok app several times, but no go. But perhaps more importantly, I've decided the problem most likely has to do with the fact that I had previously 'upgraded' to Leopard on the machine in question. But then, unhappy with it, I did a re-install of Tiger, but noticed alot of Leopard stuff was still hanging around, causing lots of other weirdness as well. So I'm probably gonna just wipe it and start afresh with Tiger and HOPEFULLY all will be well.
