Hey,
I have one of my FW 828 mk IIs hooked up to a MacBookPro running Leopard (with the latest MOTU drivers etc) and when running either logic 7.2 or 8 pro I get the above message after about 4 seconds of recording. I also get it during playback.
I have tried resetting the 828 to factory defaults and... no joy.
This also happens when running the first 828 with my G5.
If I use my second 828 it works perfectly.
Is it the first 828 just totaled ?
Anyone else had this problem ?
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Simon

Sync Error in LogicPro
hi dr. simon,
well, you are talking about an issue which is well known under the wide user base of logic pro. for some reasons that error message only appears in logic, no matter which version of logic you are running on your computer and no matter what kind or brand of audio hardware is attached to your host machine. i can ensure you that it‘s not a hardware error or something like that. even the support guys at apple pro audio (located in germany) don‘t have a good answer to that. but one thing is clear: you don‘t have to reset you audio hardware or drivers.
just try following: if you don‘t necessarily need to use MTC or MMC, just de-activate it in logic‘s song settings and in logic common settings as well. this should help. if not, just let me know....... i do stuff like that on a daily basis and all i can say is: apple pro audio still has to do alot of home work.
dr. simon...... have you ever tried digital performer ?
good luck and best regards,
marcus (munich/germany)

Dear Marcus
I can't find "song settings" or "common settings". (Logic Express
I keep getting the error message in Logic but also I lose sound every now and then when I use my MOTUC ultralite as output, not only in Logic but also Garage Band and Itunes.
