Mackie Control Universal Pro not seen by DP 5.12
I have just hooked up my new MCU Pro but DP 5.12 on my MacBook Pro won't read it? I have tried everything in both the Mackie and Motu manuals, has any one else had this problem?

I have a CME VX8 that runs as a Mackie Control Surface. I was having problems getting DP to recognize the USB bus in Control Surface Setup. Finally I added a new device onto the MIDI ports on the VX8 in Audio MIDI setup, by simply creating a new device and attaching it to the MIDI I/O on port 2. Now when I launch DP, it sees the device I created over port 1-2 and it sends MIDI control data back and forth on the USB bus.
This might be a CME specific issue for me, but perhaps it helps. Good Luck!

DP sees whatever is in Audio/MIDI setup, you need to set it up there and DP will see it.

What is said here is the same with the Mackie and they left that out of the manual. Create a device for the Mackie and hook the MIDI virtual cables to the Mackie core MIDI driver. It will work after that.
i had to do that to mine
