Dell Precision m6300 and MOTU traveler

Post by strommel »

Hello folks

Since I cannot seem to cut it as the rock'n roll star I was born to be, I have to work as an mech. engineer for a living.. I still enjoy recording my bands with my Motu traveler and my laptop..

Now It is time to get another laptop and i desire a big fat Dell Precision M6300 with a 17" screen..

I have used one earlier for CAD and one of the features I like the best is that it is virtually dead silent as opposed to the jet engine I am typing this on.

The mother board is listed as "Mobile Intel PM965 Express"

Can anyone give advice? Has anyone tried? (I am stupid... please.. help)

Best Regards

Not sure where you're from but .... at our Shopping Mall, there is a Dell booth thingy where they try to pressure you into buying a new Dell.
Were it me, I'd take the Traveler (and drivers) to the Dell store\booth\whatever and tell em "I'll buy X laptop if it works with my MOTU!"

If they want to make a sale .... they may very well let you test drive it with the Traveler.

You probably had hoped for an answer from a user of said laptop and Traveler, in which case ... Sorry, can't help ya there.
~It all works out in the end~
