I installed a fresh copy of Windows and now I can't get my MOTU unti working right. I know my 896HD is installed properly because I can hear my mic perfectly through my headphones.
The drivers seem to be in working order because CueMix works fine and controls the interface. I'm also able to record from my mic perfectly in my DAW (Sony Vegas at the moment...).
However, I can't hear my track through the 896HD's headphones. I've selected "phones" on the main mixer and gone into the audio setup and in the 896HD tab under phones selected "Phones 1-2". I can't remember ever messing with anything else, but I'm at a total loss as to how to get this thing to make some noise.
Help?!???
no sound from phones on 896HD

What do you have the output bus of Vegas set to?
If your output source in your DAW isn't set to the Headphones .... you'll hear nothing.
Likely your output source is set to the Mains.
You can set the headphone output to mimic the Mains in the MOTU control panel. Or, correct the output assignment in your DAW.

~It all works out in the end~
Vegas's main bus is set to "Phones 1-2". I had CueMix's Phones option set to "Phones 1-2" as well, but switched it to "Follow Active Mix" when I saw that was the setting I had on my other DAW that I have the 896HD working on.crankz1 wrote:What do you have the output bus of Vegas set to?

I saved the settings on that DAW's cuemix and loaded them on the one that isn't working and that didn't help either.
I'm pretty much ready to sell this thing at this point.
I should also mention I'm using 64-bit drivers and the computer this thing is working on with completely matching settings is a 32-bit machine. Do MOTU's 64-bit drivers actually work?
