I just watched all 4 videos and now I am totally psyched to get my hands on this.

What is the deal with the 32bit-floating point recording? How do you dither from there to 24bit or 16bit? Can you use the same dithering programs that we've used in the past (Ozone 3 MBIT+)??

How does Broadcast Wave work? Does this mean that I can simply export all of the soundbytes that I am using in a project and any other program that can import BWF will import them and they'll all line up perfectly? If so, Bye-Bye broken OMF.

MW Leveler and Proverb look great. Combined with the Massey plug-ins that are moving to AU soon, looks like I may be using my Waves less and less. I really hope that the Proverb is as good as or better than the Waves IR1/IRL. And RenComp, I feel, will soon be replaced with MW Leveler and as mentioned Massey's CT4 compressor (http://www.masseyplugins.com/?page=ct4) when the AU arrives this winter/spring.

All good stuff. Comping looks incredible and will save me so much time when it's needed. Just the exploding takes out to tracks is good enough for me. everything else is just icing on the cake.

Huge thanks to "Soundsun" for posting the videos!!
I'm so stoked about the CD burning. That'll save me tons of time when mastering. No more having to go back to DP for mastering and reimport to DSP Quattro for authoring.

The comping also looks great... hugh sigh of relief to hear about interleaved file support (and AIFF/WAV).

The new plugs will be nice for quick mixes from my laptop on a location gig (sans UAD-1).

Yay! DP6

Thanks for going undercover and filming this secret footage soundsun! :D

At last we can make tracks in tracks overview narrower - that was classic!

Nothing in this world or beyond sounds quite like the a music trade show - thankfully.

Wow... really nice features. I'm really like the way they enhanced takes. The PlugIn manager is great, and pre-rendering VI's is very cool. The ProVerb and MW Leveler look really nice. CD burning...that eliminates a bunch of extra steps. Gotta hand it to the guys at MOTU for being relentless!

All the background noise in the video reminded my of last years @ Namm when my ears were literally hurting. Maybe someday Bose can create booth size noise canceling speakers for Namm! : )

The thing that has me most excited is VI pre-rendering. Magic Dave said they tested an 8 core Mac with 80 FM8s, each playing back 8 notes simultaneously and the CPU was hovering at 20%!!! What the heck? Are you serious? Is DP6 the first major upgrade in the history of software that actually gives power back? It sounds too good to be true.

Did you see the Leveler? That thing looks like it could replace Waves L2 easily, and maybe even the L3. I'm glad he explained the Opto feature. Now I know what that means on the Waves L2 and L3, as well.
