sorry not more specific.gearboy wrote:Ummm... what do you mean?dmuckala wrote:no instrument tracks????
That seems like a glaring omission.
Not so different from Zed's version; just different colors, different shapes, different arrangements of those colors and shapes, and different functions of said arrangements of said shapes and colors. Oh, and different text in different colors and sizes. Other than that they're almost similar!zed wrote:Thank you so much for posting those, lwilliam!! The new interface looks fantastic. It is basically just a slicker version of the look and feel that we have already. I'm thrilled!lwilliam wrote:I can't believe no one has posted any pics....Here ya go, hot off the NAMM floor today!
Pay attention to the filename for extra info. Enjoy!!!

Yeah that's a bit strange. Hopefully, there will be the option to move them up or down, just like we can with tracks and chunks.blue wrote:Also, I wonder why they decided to put In/Out assignments at the top of the mixer rather than at the bottom where the track names are. Now you'll have to follow the fader up from the name and try not to get lost on the way up to see what the assignments are.

BTW, the upgrade price will be $199 for those who own EITHER 4.x or 5.x.
He was not sure of the grace period for a free upgrade from 5.x.
(uh, it DID crash when he was demoing Proverb).
I think weever is referring to the operative word "older" in your quote above. DP is the choice of us older guys, a painful reminder at times of the long road behind us, and that annually incrementing number by which we are so often defined. That number should just be a measure of our experience, but it too often is a measure of our irrelevance in the contemporary entertainment world. Oh well... just more reason why we have to make the leap from entertainment to arts. Art is entertainment by old fogies who are revered as masters of something or other. Perhaps. Or perhaps not. Anyway, weever wasn't referring to place; just the painful reality of age.Phil Jeffers wrote:I don't follow sorry - bare in mind we are not all American (even though I happen to be an American).wheever wrote:Ouch.Phil Jeffers wrote:
It's here! Don't fret DP is the darling of all older composers/mixer/producers - it's here to stay baby!
At least I know I'm in the right place...
Here...jlaudon wrote:What amazes (or depresses) me is the lack of coverage of DP6 anywhere (nothing on Macmusic, Sweetwater, Harmony Central, KVR). Does this reflect how small the user base is?
OK, it's nice of you to answer for another poster... old, hmnnn, define old - what, do you mean over 50???Shooshie wrote:I think weever is referring to the operative word "older" in your quote above. Thank you OldTimey.OldTimey wrote:That may have caused the corruption. Unfortunately MM, i have never been able to figure out how do fix SD2 files once they go into the "land of unix-executables". Someone else out there might though...good luck!monkey man wrote: Well, I might have burned my backups in mac/pc format using Toast.
Do you think this could have done it?
How do I fix this? Any idea at all?
i don't mind the separate tracks. very often i have different MIDI channels for one instrument track anyway...dmuckala wrote:sorry not more specific.gearboy wrote:Ummm... what do you mean?dmuckala wrote:no instrument tracks????

unified instrument tracks, so one doesn't need a separate MIDI track and an aux (dp calls them instrument) track. Logic was the first, then protools, then cubase. everyone pretty much does it.
