BTW, the upgrade price will be $199 for those who own EITHER 4.x or 5.x.

He was not sure of the grace period for a free upgrade from 5.x.

(uh, it DID crash when he was demoing Proverb).

The faders are still too short. Interesting though. Wonder if the pan is ahead or behind the meters. That was a horrible mistake to change without a choice in my opinion way back when. Again prefs are our friends!

It's coming... and yes Broadcast Wave File (.wav or .bwf) is now the world-wide cross-platform standard audio file. I'm just relieved that MOTU have finally acknowledged that.

Unless I just had too much wax in my ears at the time I heard (and saw) the demonstration - DP6 definitely supports broadcast Wave.

Thanks for posting those. I've been dying to see what the new interface looks like. Overall, I'd say it's an improvement, though it's hard to tell without looking at it up close on a monitor. It still looks like DP, yet refreshed. It looks like they took a cue from other, more currently designed software without going the garish route. It seems a bit more spacious and easier to read, less cluttered. Glad it's still mostly grey.

I hope the transport is scalable, or at least customizable. Those buttons look HUGE. Also, I wonder why they decided to put In/Out assignments at the top of the mixer rather than at the bottom where the track names are. Now you'll have to follow the fader up from the name and try not to get lost on the way up to see what the assignments are.

Yep - that's what I mean when I say "it's coming" i.e. BWF support.

Wax is bad for your ears - a GP can fix that

Looks nice. The transport window seems to be one of the windows that got changed the most.

Thank you so much for posting those, lwilliam!! The new interface looks fantastic. It is basically just a slicker version of the look and feel that we have already. I'm thrilled!

Yeah that's a bit strange. Hopefully, there will be the option to move them up or down, just like we can with tracks and chunks.
