Hi everyone
I have a question. How can I create monitoring system for musicians (headphones) with my MOTUmk3? I was thinking of buying Presonus HD60, but I have no idea how to make all necessary connections. If u have any suggestions I will appreciate it

Actually, it's the HP60--and yes, that would be a fine choice. What you'll want to do is create an Aux for each mix that you want (in your DAW software), configure that for PRE FADER and on each track assign the level of signal desired for that Aux channel. In other words, let's say you want (4) separate mixes for DRUMS, BASS, VOCALS and GUITAR. Say you assign Aux 1 to Drums, Aux 2 for Bass, 3 for Vox and Aux 4 for the Guitar. Say the Drummer wants lots of Vocals, cranked Bass and NO guitar..... On All of those tracks, you adjust Aux 1 to the level desired. Maybe he wants no background vocals, just lead... turn down Aux 1 on the BG Tracks and up on the lead track. Etc. With me so far?
HERE's a tip.... Create AUX TRACKS, route the Aux Sends to a track and that track to the outputs of the 2408. WHy do this? It gives you a master send control so you have the ability to patch in/out of it, control volume, mute, etc. By the way, you need to assign the Aux channels to a physical hardware output, two if you want stereo.
This is what I do in my ProToolsHD system, but the concept is 100% the same whether you're in ProTools, DP, Logic, Sonar, etc.
