Problems with Adictive Drums 1.1.1 update & DP5

Post by myrrh »

I'm having serious problems with AD 1.1.1 update. DP 5 has a problem loading it. It doesn't even show as an instrument. It does attempt to load during examination, but then I get "1 serious problem found" I've been corresponding with AD tech support but it seems that they're just as stumped as I am. I've tried installing and reinstaling both DP and AD to no avail I've also been looking at both the MOTU install logs and the console logs to see what the problem could be but they just give the obvious info. Is anybody else having this problem with the AD update ?

It crashed my project that I had Addictive drums on when I installed the next version. I had to uninstall and reload my version 1. they sent me a de-bug version that they wanted me to install in the plugins folder but I am wary to do this as I have it working write now. I'll just wait until the next version comes out with the fix.

Weird.... it's working okay for me. Did you install it with the original disc in the drive? I think you have to do that as part of this update. Don't remember the exact details right now.

Yup!! did all of that still nothing. AD sent me a debug componet to see if they could find the cause of the problem but that did not help much. What's your setup like ? I'm running DP on a Macbook Pro 2.2. I'm still on Tiger OX 10.4.10 because some of my other programs/plug-ins have issues with Leopard (ie. Kontakt 3 ) I'm waiting for Native Instruments to come up with a fix, they're working on it.

It's working fine for me also. Make sure you uninstall version 1 first, then install the update.

Yeah..I did the uninstall. It will not allow you to install the update without doing the uninstall. Oh well..I'm waiting for AD tech support to give me more suggestions. Holla back if anyone has any idea as to what the problem may be.
