The posts above inspired me to try yet again to install Independence Free. Did everything during install properly, but when I launch the stand alone app, for < 1 sec the main program screen flashes but then I get an error message window. When you click OK, the program closes. The error message window says "no valid samplerates found." I still get this whether or not I have my 828 on or off. I have not tried first setting in the Mac's Sound preference the 828 as the output, but this shouldn't matter as the native Mac's sample rate should work even without an external interface.

Anyone have any ideas? (Yes, the .yif files for the demo are inside the images folder where they should be, inside the main path folder etc.)

Thanks!! :)

I don't think so. Is that a seperate download? Didn't get installed with the Independence Free installer. How do I get and install the YT Key Manager?

Thanks.

Nowhere in their documentation do they state that you actually need this:

http://www.yellowtools.us/cp21/cms/inde ... ymanager_e

You don't need to actually run it, just have it on your boot drive. You don't have to install the YTKM preference pane either.

Thanks, I installed YTKM but still get the same error. The 8 .ytif files for the demo are inside /Independence Basic Path/image files folder. Any other helpful ideas anyone re: why I am getting this error message re: samplerates when I launch Independence Free?? Thanks.

OK... I said nothing. :D

I would love to know why I haven't been able to download Ticky Clav, Cheese Machine, and now I discover also Slim Slow Slider Sidechain Compressor.
I've been attempting these for months as they're UB updates.

Side Chain Compressor

Post by blazingrythm »

I have heard of side chain before but never knew what it meant.
What's a 'side chain?' as in side chain compressor?

A new build of Automat 1.0b is out.
Samples work! Fx input ! some new presets to boot

http://www.alphakanal.de:4356/

This version is very usable now and puts some of my commercial VI's to shame.

Two Questions:

Post by NitrouStang96 »

1) I see a ton of free plugs, but no VI's...
2) I've been reading about deconvolution. What types of things do you guys use deconvolution for?
