Tascam TRS-8/Fostex G16s Sync via MOTU Micro Express

Hi All,

I'm looking at getting a Reel to Reel and want to be able to sync it with my DP set up. I have a Micro Express that has SMPTE In/Out via TRS jack.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience doing this successfully with the items RtoRs listed above?

For the Tascam do I definitely need the MTS 1000 Midizier?

For the Fostex will the deck with 8330 Sync card installed combined with the micro express be enough?

Many thanks in advance, sorry if it seems a little off topic I've searched pretty extensively through the tascam and fostex forum and couldn't find much?

Hi Adam - did you ever figure this out? I am trying to sync a Tascam 238 to DP using the Tascam MMC-100 and the MIDI Timepiece AV, so I am wondering if you have any insights - thank you!
