Simple minds: What is the best way to take MIDI to AIF

Post by lexwahl »

I've used DP for several years.

To get an AIF file from MIDI, I've always reassigned cables from my mixer to my 828, and rendered track by track. So much time.

Is this necessary when using Symphonic Instrument and Ethno?

Or, is there an easier method?

Please excuse the comparison: but I'm looking for something in the way GarageBand can take MIDI and make a "quick and dirty" audio file.

I use Audio Hijack Pro. I like it very much.

If you have cuemix with your 828, you can simply re-route your signal back to DP and record it. Everything at once. see the last post on the first page of the thread given by emulatorloo

Cool. Thanks everyone.

Yeah. I've used HiJack before, but I was looking for something within the program. I'll try the cuemix thang.

Thanks again!

Cuemix as always done it for me as I rather do monitor my bounces. I was just wondering which 828 you have because it might not be available to different mk.
