Got my new acoustic guitar

Post by SixStringGeek »

And - wow - you guys know your guitars.

I ended up with a Taylor 414ce-LTD from GuitarCenter - best sales experience of the several stores I visited.

I have no idea how it records as I can't seem to put it down long enough to drag out the mic and plug everything in - probably later this weekend.

Thanks for all the advice. I'm really digging this guitar.

Then it's a sure bet that it can sound great recorded. Well done!

Wow... looks awesome! I bought a Breedlove Atlas not that long ago, but I'm not sure it's what I'm satisfied with. The Taylor sure looks interesting! CONGRATULATIONS!!

I also bought a Breedlove Atlas - I am pretty happy with it - it has a really good warm tone - its not as good as my Gibson but I needed a cutaway electro and this was the best in the price range. Stick with it James - it grows on you.

I've got a 310 and a 614. If your experience is anything like mine, they start sounding better with age. If you take good care of that guitar, it'll last a lifetime.

Best of luck with the new guitar. The Taylors sure are nice - and you always get more bang for your buck with the limited editions. Over the years I ended up with 2 of their limiteds.

Taylors are known for recording well - so I'm sure you'll be pleased when you finally can pull yourself away long enough to setup a mic or 2.

First guitar I've ever owned that never has to be tuned :-).

I'm serious. I don't play guitar much anymore, but when I do it's still more often an acoustic steel guitar or nylon classical guitar than an electric guitar. So on average, I get out my Taylor every five to six weeks. And it's still in tune each time!

Congratulations. You know you've made the right choice (for you) when you can't put it down.

so true.

it's truly a joy and a thing of beauty when you strum or pick a chord and you get "that feeling".
