MacBook Pro Keyboard illumination

Post by 31flies »

I have a consistent, seemingly simple problem that I can't get around. The keyboard on my MacBook lights up only when IT thinks the lighting is too low.

How can I keep the keybaord lit up in all lighting situations?

Thanks!

Uncheck Illuminate Keyboard in low light situations in the Keyboard system prefs and use the hardware buttons(F8,F9,F10) to set the brightness level.

Didn't do the trick. I basically want the lights on ALL the time.

I did as you said and the Function keys just flash the light gray image center screen and appear to show the brightness scale maxed. I have no lights, though.

Thanks.

Have you tried covering the speakers, where the sensors are located? Perhaps cut a couple of pieces of card to size, and see what that does....

Kind regards
