2408mkIII & Tango24 connection????

I was wondering if I could connect a Frontier Design Tango 24 via Adat through my 2408 MKIII to gain a few addition I/O's. Seems that it "should" work but not sure and wanted to know what you guys think.

Also, been pondering getting the "Black Lion 2408 Mod".
Has anyone had theirs modded and if so, what do you think?

Can't afford to look into other converters at this time so I'm trying to squeeze all I can out of what I've got.
