1. What is happening exactly?

2. Where did you buy it -- maybe they can help.

3. If not, why not call motu -- call them early when they first open up east cost time.

4. You could always try running it with Mac OS X. Is there joy with the Traveler then? Then we know the Traveler works.

is this relevant?

I was installing Ultralite with MacBook Pro 2.16Ghz with Boot Camp 1.4 and Win XP Pro SP2, was encounter glitches on all outputs.

After I upgraded Ultralite firmware from v1.0 to 1.15, the CueMix Console was still unable to sync with the Ultralite.

Here are 3 Windows XP Pro patch files for people that facing CueMix NOT SYNC or Windows crashing problem when try to play Windows Media Player. After running these 3 patch files, all problem will SOLVED after you RESTART Windows.

just to double check, are you 100% sure its running perfectly since installing those updates?

Im running an ultralite and am having heaps more luck since installing the patches, however still get weird problems where audio will run beautifully for an hour or so and then completely crap out with the weird vinyl pops n crackle problems..this can happen at any time, wether in an audio app or not.

Id be interested to know if anyone has a rock solid motu firewire device going under bootcamp/xp on a macbook pro

have a nice day

I am running the Ultralite with MB Pro & Win XP SP2 fine after the 3 hot fixes (patch files). Before that, was having NOT SYNC issue with CUE MIX.

BTW, I will try installing VISTA tomorrow on my Mac Pro 2.66Ghz. Just got the 30days trial installer from a friend.

thanks for the reply, could you send me some more detailed specs on your macbook pro?...ive got the 2.2ghz core 2 duo which i believe is still the latest release (along with the 2.4ghz...didnt even know you could get a 2.6ghz hehe)

at any rate, i wouldnt think there are many differences between our machines. are the 3 patches you installed the only things you did?...have your run any other xp updates since installing xp (do you have auto update turned on?) does your macbook have the texas instrument firewire or the lucent one mentioned above? what version motu drivers are you running (software? firmware?)

would really appreciate a response :) :)

have a nice day

I can‘t make my dual MOTU 896hd thru Windows XP UE sp2 installed in my Macbook Pro under Cubase/Nuendo. It crashes when I change into the program to MOTU ASIO drivers, and when I‘m out of Cubase/Nuendo I can‘t run the CueMixer, saying that "the device bus can not support this transfer rate". But when I‘m under MAC OSx Leopard I can run perfectly Digital Performer 5 with no sync lost or crashing problems.
I don‘t have this problems with the dual MOTU under my Mac Pro/Windows XP. I can run it under Cubase/Nuendo without any problems.
Could I try this patches? Could you please reseed it?
Thanks a lot!
