Someone told me that Logic plugins appear as AU's and are therefore available in DP. Can anyone confirm this?
It would make buying Logic Studio something of a no-brainer to know that even if you don't like the program you can still use the plugs in DP.

Re: Using Logic plugins in DP 5
No. They are not AU's. They are proprietary and can only be used in Logic.cmcenearney wrote:Someone told me that Logic plugins appear as AU's and are therefore available in DP. Can anyone confirm this?
Recently somebody posted about putting logic on a second machine and slaving it to his DP machine. If I come across the thread I will link it here.cmcenearney wrote:It would make buying Logic Studio something of a no-brainer to know that even if you don't like the program you can still use the plugs in DP.

None of this is to say that Logic Studio isn't worth buying -- I think for me it is, for the included ability for write DVD-A disks and to create Dolby Digital AC3 files.
