So folks... when I go to load my Garage Band instruments Mach V - 2 can't find any of the samples. It does once I go through find and about 10 directory layers later.
Any insights?
I'm running G5 OX.4.10

I just tried and I'm able to load them... I browsed to
/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Instrument Library/Sampler/Sampler Instruments and chose the instrument i wanted (.exs file).
Then it said it couldn't locate the samples, so i navigated to /Sampler/Sampler files and clicked Find. Seems to work fine.

If you first open the sound in Garageband, it will fix the link between the instrument and it's samples. Thereafter, MachFive will open the instrument in one go.
Another thing are the loops supplied with Garageband 3, it uses some kind of compressed *.aiff file format called *.caf. Haven't figured it out yet how to use them, but as most of these loops are the same in older versions of Garageband I use them. Only if Apple is about to release future Apple loops in this format, I think we can expect a new update from Motu.

This sounds like a great fix but it does not work for me - unless I miss read how to do it. Each time I want Garage Band instruments it sends me on the search. Actually, some of the instruments that are available to Garage Band don't even show up in my Mach 5 II.jazzman wrote:If you first open the sound in Garageband, it will fix the link between the instrument and it's samples.
