I'm not seeing any overs here using Ozone limiter in "intelligent" mode.

L1 is quite old, I don;t know why you dont have L2 or L3
Probably because L1 is Waves' idea of a professional limiting tool at the $1,000 (native gold) level. L1 is what you get with Gold.

Which is, of course, ridiculous.

I've never been able to get L1 to sound "right" on any mix, and it sits in the bundle unused, along with the following that now don't work at all in AU's: Tune, IR-L, and Doubler. So, basically, I paid $1,000 for a reverb, EQ, and delay.

Anyway, Ozone is a particularly good deal. There are lots of other products that can get the job done, maybe not at that price. Waves is so off-base denying Gold bundle owners a useable limiter, especially since they already have two of them (L2 and L3) in inventory that it cannot even be commented on.

Slightly OT. but you mentioned Waves Tune.

I have never used it but I saw it and I thought it looked like the tuner in DP.

DP's tuner was my main reason for switching to DP from CubaseSX. I find it a fantastic tool. Of course I have now appreciated other nuances of DP that make it better for me.

So does DP tuner match up to the $600 or so Waves Tune ?

How many of you out there are using DAE front ends with DP 5.12?

I have just discovered Ozone does not function as a TDM plugin anymore - Izotope now only supports Ozone as RTAS for DAE/Tools 7+. Which means no Ozone across your DP mixes via Aux track (unless it's as an RTAS plugin over an audio track). Really.

Even worse, Ozone 3 under TDM crashes every project I have that was created before upgrading to DAE 7.3.1cs2.

Any suggestions as to how to load up all my previous projects while only disabling the probematic Ozone on my Stereo Aux? (Importing old projects into new templates and unchecking Effect settings means I not only lose Ozone 3, but all my other VIs, plugins everything).

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

I also have Izotope Ozone. It includes limiting in the Loudness Maximizer. Ozone cost me $180. 1/6 of the cost.

Ozone's loudness maximizer / limiter sounds about 1,000 times better to me than L1. I cannot get a good sound from L1, no matter how much I tweak. Ozone - instant transparent limiting; the presets are killer and really don't need tweaking.

Am I not "getting" L1? Does it s***k or is it me?
