Have any free V2 updates left MOTU?

Post by joschafer »

I got the impression that the only upgrades that have shipped are the ones with money attached. Is that true?

Thanks -- Jeff

Don't know. MOTU told me that my free V.2 will ship two weeks from my order. That's about now.
Stay tuned.
Stay loose.
Stay put.
Stay the course.
Stay on top of things.
Staaay, just a little bit longer.
Stay in MOTU's face.':D'

As one who is waiting for the free upgrade, it makes sense for MOTU to ship to those who $$$ first.

So as previously stated.... stay loose, relax.

The really cool thing about MOTU product overviews, is that the QT movies pretty much illustrate what you need to know about the new features. (This became really evident with the pitch correction feature in DP 4.6). Having used MSI and PlugSound Pro, I recognize many family navigation features in v2.

Cheers.

I'm cooled and relaxed

I'm not worried at all about MOTU standing up and keeping commitments. I worry more about software bugs in order entry systems :o

Mostly just curious....

Valid point regarding the entry system.
I would contact them to make sure you're in their system correctly.
I sent them jpg proof of purchase date, and received confirmation that I'm in their system to received the free upgrade.

Cheers

I paid full price for my upgrade, then discovered that I qualified for the free upgrade. I saw where MOTU refunded my money on my bank statement, but I've heard nothing from them. I was sure hoping to have it sooner, and was one of the first to order. I suspect changing it to "free" also put me last on the list for that day, so it may be a while.

I wish they'd just send out something to let us know the status of the order.

An update...

A quick update on this. I just spoke to MOTU (since it had been 2 weeks) and they expect the free upgrades to start going out in the next couple of days.

Yup. My free update is on it's way as well (to Hong Kong; international shipping and all :) ). Arrives Saturday.

Off topic, but regarding UPS's reputation, I do a lot of business receiving goods from the US and UK and prefer to use UPS if I can as they've been the most reliable and fastest of all the carriers I've used. I'm surprised to read that they've been knocked, what's the reason??

Hey homebilly, when did you register your "Evidence" with motu? Just wondering, still no sign of my shipment yet... I'd think i would've been fairly early, as I'd think anyone that uses unicornation would've had a jump on most others with even knowing about it :)
