There's a skinny little manual that comes with OSX Macs. Burning CD's is on page 33.

The most useful feature of Jam is its ability to burn comlete red book compatible discs. Toast cannot do that. Jam also has some other nice features like the ablity to create custom crossfades between tracks for those tracks that you want to fade into each other but still have an id to skip to, etc...

On the other hand, a different Unicornation member here told me all I need to do is use TOAST and simply select (0) time between songs and it will copy them seamlessly. So, I break up the soundbite into sections in dp, then I copy them into TOAST and make the time between tracks set to 0 and it works great. I was ticked at spending so much for a program that did not do what I was told it would. After looking at Jam I think it's pretty much a joke, especially for those who already have awesome editing abilities in dp.
Oh well, live and learn right? :)

Jam can read markers (DP, Peak, etc) as IDs inserted in SDII files. You can use this method to break up a long soundbite into sections or tracks.

And Jam will use 24 bit files directly and dither to 16 bit automatically, good enough for 'Premasters'
Take care

Toast can't burn red book CD's ?

Darn, what should I do with all these red book compatible CD's that I've been burning in Toast for the past couple of years ?
