Post by slipstream »

any ideas what a 1.5ghz powerbook with a gig of ram would come up with DP errors saying audio has overloaded the CPU
This happens sometimes on record of a single track or playback of it.

Interface Mlan to Motif ES Keyboard

settings in the hardware are 1024 buffer, workload or whatever it is called set to medium

Do you have all the latest updates from yamahasynth.com? There have been quite a few updates posted over the past month or two; though mostly for editors (I think there was at least one driver update though).

yes i am thinking that it is only scince 4.6 and people are talking about cpu spikes.. the cpu level looked really low and then the error,, these are on brand new tracks not to sure how to fix it it is a pain

Have the work priority set to medium in DP.

I'm having the same problem and it's killing me. I'm using a MIO 2882 with the clock problem fixed and I'm still getting errors. Can't record 1 stereo track all the way down. I have a 1.33 G4 PB with 10.3.8 and plenty of ram. I've tried every buffer setting. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks.

Flip around different work priorities.
Try "Low" I know in the DP manual it's mentioned
that some yamaha interfaces require DP to be set for a low
work priority to work properly.
