possibly because MachFive2 has been as elusive as the Big Mike banana from yesteryear. Hopefully MOTU's MachFive fungus eradication program has been more successful than the banana eradication fungus program.

Yes, you guessed it, my buddy and #1 fanboy, Billy the Unicorn! Yay!

LOL, maybe I should start a website called the "monkey man fan club".

Seriously though, we all know that when MOTU releases the new M52, then none of us will have time for poop jokes, so I figure the only thing to do is jump on the PooManchu train and laugh a bit while we wait for MOTU to bring us our summer software gifts. 8)

Monkey Man has assured me that only airborne poo flings are imminent and that the ubiquitous poo land mine of marching band noteriety will not be a concern.
i.e; Learn to duck.

If I fail in the music business, there's always acting to fall back on.

A poo land mine marching band? Is that part of the 32 gb sample set in the new Machy?

By our standards, we've still some way to go. :D

Gary is correct, Billy, I promised "no landmines".
Still, just because I didn't promise any doesn't mean I can't still deliver 'em.
OK, OK, no poomines it is.

Good call on the marching band, BTW Billy; I used to play piano in a marching band as a means of dropping a continuous trail of poomines for several kilometers, due to the massive reserves I could stash in it.
I had to give it up though as it was back-breaking work.
The fact that the guts of the piano had been replaced with a monkey-grinder probably gave the game away to those with discerning ears.

The MOTU archive includes parts of the "Greatest Spits Vol. IV - Marching Band Bland Blubber Busting Butt Busters - The Monkey Grinder Sessions".
Due to its immense space requirements however, having been recorded at 384kHz and 32 bit as a future-proofing measure, most of "The Monkey Grinder Sessions" will, I'm assured by MOTU, appear in future updates of Machy whilst a 2GB collage of third world march-bys is to be included as a taster with vII. :D

Wait a second my fine simian friend, I heard that you actually played a Mighty Wurlitzer Pipe Organ in the marching band. I know this because I read it on wikipedia, the font of all knowledge. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Monkey_Man.jpg for more info.

Now was it really a Steinway Grand Piano or a Wurlitzer that you played in the marching band? Let's fix the record for posterity. :D

Easy explanation, Billy.

1) My fanboys are generally delirious, as you'd well know.
2) They're currently frothing at the mouth in anticipation of the imminent release of my "Fab One" VI.
3) Take the aforementioned enthusiasm/fanaticism and mix it with one part grinder-organ mounted in a Steinway baby grand, and you've got...
The mythical and elusive "Mighty Wurlitzer Pipe Organ".

Easy, peasy.
Don't you just love logic? The logical sort of logic, that is.

Oh Champion Chimp, I offer these delectable images of proof.

First, a photo of monkey man playing his axe at the Rose Bowl in Pasedena at half time, as a key member of the Aussie Apes Marching Band:

Oh but wait, there's more. Here we find monkey man dressed in full regalia with his marching band choir, and notice, a piano. This was taken during halftime at the World Series of Poker:

Whoa... nobody's supposed to see anything yet. Nothing!
Must be some kind of new-fangled magic, methinks. :?

Billy, I'm starting to feel a little guilty that you've "put so much energy into me".
I sincerely hope I've given you enough in the way of laughs and companionship to justify your efforts.

You're way too kind, as always, bud.

I need something to do while anxiously awaiting MachFiveII, so why not create some monkey mania? Who knows, you might be the next big thing, and then we will all be able to say "yeah, well I new him when he was still a small time chimp over on Unicornation...."

Ha! I love it, Billy.
Whatever transpires, I've a feeling I'll always be a small time chimp over at UnicorNation. :D

Good observation, mhschmieder.

I can play four manuals simultaneously, but can't even read one.
