Fix the simple stuff, like:
- why the scroll wheel scrolls the Tracks window horizontally and vertically, but the Mixer window horizontally only
- why the Markers mini menu has Delete, but the Event list mini menu doesn't.
- why the backspace key deletes events, but not markers
The list goes on and on....

maybe mentioned before:
Control A for batch MIDI and VI assignments akin to the current Audio-only batch assignmets. The Add Instruments feature is fine when you're starting a project, but add other instruments during the project and we're back to the tiny-window click tedium.

A MIDI block editting option in the Sequence Editor (where vertical zoom is already an available function).
Putting the buffer size setting somewhere visible (like the control panel) is a brilliant and very functional suggestion.
Ditto the precision metering!
Regarding the DP VI: They are a starting point (as are the audio plug-ins). MOTU figures that users will choose to spend their $$$ on more powerful third-party plugs and VI to meet their specific needs.

I haven't read every post here, so forgive me if it has been mentioned already. I would REALLY like to have the parameter/controller value read-out NEXT TO the soundbite or MIDI note you are editing (just like in PT). I have two 23 inch monitors, and reading those tiny little numbers all the way up in the info bar is just distracting and annoying.
I have to look way up there, and then back down, and it's easy to miss your place.
Probably not a big deal, but a nice and simple feature.
Also, being able to color code parts of a track with different colors.
Can you imagine if MOTU implemented EVERY single suggestion for next DP's release?????? Would that make it a ridiculously amazing app or what!!!!
Errr. MOTU????

An EASY way to calculate how long IN REAL TIME a selection is would be nice.
And perhaps a "background" buffer that is ALWAYS recording into a clipboard so if we're noodling around and happen to get a PERFECT take, we can save itto a new (or existing) track. Edit track (Atari) used to do that and it was a pretty useful feature.

Yeah... that would be fantastic. Apparently Logic also has this feature.MIDI Life Crisis wrote:And perhaps a "background" buffer that is ALWAYS recording into a clipboard so if we're noodling around and happen to get a PERFECT take, we can save itto a new (or existing) track.
