got it sussed. 10.4.9 actually seems to behave okay (combo update). it's one of the software updates afterward that hoses things up. if you install 10.4.9 combo again after the online updates, it works...yay! so psp and sonnox are back on line.
now if only amplitube would just quit crashing when in mono in to stereo out mode...

I got caught in a Catch-22 with 10.4.9 early on, so it isn 't worth going back. I just hope 10.4.10 comes along real soon.

As I mentioned a while ago, I had just come back from a five week vacation in mid-March, and upgraded to the not-so-new 10.4.9 in late March thinking it must be safe after almost two months of people pounding on it.

Unfortunately, several of the newer products that I have bought since that time are dependent on 10.4.9, so going back wasn't really a choice at some point in late April or so. But I have found workarounds for all of my problems.

I do not recommend anyone to upgrade to 10.4.9, unless they more or less have to, as I did. It isn't worth the headache. Vendors are still chasing each other's changes one after the other, to reach full stability.

Found it I will down load today, I may just order the Production Bundel real soon any ways but I want to try it out any ways. This could be the kick I need to get a new computer.

Well, I HAD to upgrade to 10.4.9. I started a paying project with After Effects CS3 (beta), and was having lots of problems. The Adobe guru told me to buckle up and upgrade to 10.4.9 so I could run the latest build. That solved my AE problem.

10.4.9 introduced a jittering on scrolling playback of my waveforms in DP 5.11, but on 5.12, that problem is gone. I'm holding off on 10.4.10 if I can. The popping issue that's been reported is a deal-breaker.
