I haven't actually tried them yet, but I am pretty excited about adding these EQ plugins to my collection. From what I've heard these folks make good quality stuff:

That's definitely right about using the MWEQ for mostly cutting. I've found that boosting anything on it tends to all of a sudden make a track not fit any more. I'm wondering why my ears are getting so fatigued with those BGV's...I open the MWEQ on them, turn off all the boosts...aaaaah! They fit again!

The FFT is invaluable for finding offensive portions, however. Can't live without it at this point. So I end up doing any boosting i have to do with other plugs. I was sold on the URS stuff for a while, but really wish i could have 8 UAD cards running. LOVE THAT STUFF.

I also use Sonalksis. It's my most favorite EQ plug for just about everything, but especially for HH and cymbals.

Kinda agreeing with what everyone else is saying: MW eq cuting, and sublte bass boosts up to 3 or 4 db. MW eq can sound harsh pretty quickly if you are up in the the 5 db or more boost area. If I want a more trebbly tone, I'll use a low shelf cut.

Especially wide rises, I use Sonalksis eq for boosting from 1k 'ish and up, only if I *have to* boost. It can sound really silky up high with care.

I have their Limiter and it is KILLER. Very thick and chunky, not transparent at all, but ab-so-lute-ly KILLER. I can't wait to demo the AU versions of this EQ...

Just FYI, the Sonalksis has the same feature. I agree it can be extremely helpful.

Yeah Kubi. That Abbey Road limiter is really fantastic... can almost turn anything into gold. I love it. The EQs are bound to be just as delicious. :P

Is it working for you? For me it almost invariably takes DP down, usually on instantiate.

DP5.12 (but also in all other DP5 versions before), OS 10.4.10 (but also in 10.4.9), on a 2x2G5

And it ain't the Pluggo architecture, my other pluggos work fine, just not Tritone Digital. (I own all Tritone plugs, too. Used to love them.)

Based on what I read on the Gearslutz forum a few weeks back, they're either already available or under development. I think Chandler said they might need to hire some new people in order to accelerate the development, or maybe were asking for volunteers :-).

Anyway, if you visit the Mastering Forum and/or the New Gear Forum over at Gearslutz, you'll find out everything you want to know about these plugs, which I think were first announced at AES in San Francisco last October 2006.

I do hope they'll have demo licenses to eval. I would be very excited about a Chandler EQ, and imagine it would be of utmost quality.
