FANTASTIC!

Mon's equation for success. This goes the hobbit's book of things never to forget!
Don't forget about miracles and luck. They can really screw up that equation!

(And a good thing for guys like me that they do.)

Miracles and calamities,
luck and hard luck,
serendipity and kismet;
all are constants (or in-constants).

You only get extra if you are Irish or a cat.
I got to believe you make your own.
Equation still holds...

Why does it take so long to appear (if it really will)? Is it because of Vista (concurent releases)?

UMD in France (official distributor of many MOTU products) just had no clue...

Damned, i just hope it would load all my old soundbanks that i have spent so many days making.

I just don't care about the GB soundbanks it comes with, i just want an intel release, and if possible, stable, and that works with DP (of course) and Pro Tools 7 (multiple outputs)...

Bye.
July? Or September?

People have been waiting for over two & a half years.
I can't tell you to hold on any longer, but I've gotten by with PlugSound Pro up to this point. I'm planning to wait it out for another month or three.

But at this point, I do believe it will come...relatively soon.
Cheers.

Thanks, Frodo, for the enthusiasm and MLC for the additional input. I'm sure the formula can be refined...

No release date

Post by samueltournan »

MOTU told me yesterday that no release date had been set yet, despite any rumor I may have heard. (...but it will appear soon on the site, machfive is a current high priority in their schedule, blah, blah, blah)

1. I may not be home when it arrives?
2. A watched pot never boils?
3. After 2.5 years, what's another several weeks?
4. I've got work to finish first with other VIs?
5. Summer movie releases look promising?
5. I've never read "War and Peace"?

two fives equal 10. Ten days from now is July something. After that July something is Namm. What does it all mean?

I dunno, but I think it means Frodo will be up to 7500 posts when that magic M52 day arrives.

Ok, somethings are beyond the scope of human understanding. We're posting stuff instead of writing music.

You guys are just the people I need to talk to.

I worked on an album 35 years ago...The engineer discovered it in the vault and decided to re-master the songs and release it.

I have talked to the people in the band for the first time since 1975, we have signed contracts for the business commitments.

So I ask you, if you were among a group of people considering reuniting for a "reunited" tour, supporting an album that wasn't released until 35 years after the original release date, and, there was no original tour to promote a shelved album...how long would you say the tour should be, or, would you wait for MachFive V2 to be released, two and one-half years after it's scheduled release date, or, wait for Frod's ubiquitous loquacity to propel him to 7500 posts, and, be slammed again by the reality that the owner of our Big Blue Marble has put us in our place for what feels like a never-ending lesson in patience...or...throw yourself into an Urban Gospel group where you can actually play all those great inversions you learned from Terry Trotter twenty seven years ago?

As for the other stuff...consider it Frodo's "New Math" and accept my humble apologies for muddying the tepid, opaque, obsequious waters of
our humanity, and adding to all the understood but unspoken accompanying foibles of our blind, yet courageous struggle to maintain forward momentum.

I'll wait right here for your advice''

Oh, I'll be way over 7500 when the tour ends-- 7500 years old, that is!

New math. Yes-- M5v2 announced in 2005 plus 2.5 years = 2006.

This *is* 2006, right?
garymadi wrote:...where you can actually play all those great inversions you learned from Terry Trotter twenty seven years ago?
Terry Trotter?!! He's a great friend of mine. Speaking of tours that wouldn't end, Terry and I found ourselves on just such a tour.

That was back in 1998-- or 1998. I can't remember which.
