My first two songs on DP

Post by msmeritt »

Got DP 5.1 late last year. I did my first song in it last November. It's called Come Out:

My second song was in April, called Our Whole Lives:

If you'd like to hear the complete recordings instead of just the samples available at the pages above, they're currently at my MySpace music page:

Both songs were made entirely on DP 5.1, using, in addition to the vocals, only a couple of its built-in instruments plus a healthy dose of the instruments from the Apple DLSMusicService, i.e., the built-in QuickTime instruments -- because at the moment this is all I have that I can use with DP!

They're just demo recordings, not really intended to be perfect radio-ready cuts. Would love to hear whatever feedback from the crowd.

Come Out etc

Bravo for the gay pride songs. Great productions. Powerful pop lyrics and songs. Others can give you more technical comments.

You're a strong guy!

Thanks very much :)

BTW, though, I'm straight and it's not a gay pride song! It's a person pride song. I purposely co-opt gay pride themes becauze they're so recognizable, but I'm trying to get everybody to come out of their closet and by who they are -- come out whoever you are, indeed :)
