You assume correctly, RME Fireface 800. What I experienced was definitely NOT a sound card issue, it was happening in DP and it seemed to affect one track at a time (although it would change to a different track sometimes if I reloaded the sequence). If I selected the soundbite in the seq editor and hit opt-space it would play by itself and still do it, but if I selected the soundbite in the SB window and auditioned it, it would play back fine.

It may not even be the same bug you had, but it sounded exactly as you described.

A couple of further questions....

How many audio tracks did you have in the session at the time?

Was it doing it on several tracks at once? (ie. over your master bus rather than a single track)

Only about three or four audio tracks in the sequence itself, but there were about 20 MIDI tracks running MSI in a V-Rack, and MSI was set up with about 12 outputs. There was also another sequence which used the V-rack with similar specifications.

But I loaded several projects, and they all did the same thing. Even after rebooting the computer multiple times.

Sounds then, like we have similar symptoms but different bugs (although they could still be related). I only had it the once (so far, touch wood). And upon opening a different project, it went away.
