Altiverb / DP problems when migrating from G5 to MacPro
Hi, folks
I'm still having problems opening sessions that previously contained Averb 5 patches and now need to open with Averb 6. Averb 6 picks the correct patch, but the settings are completely wrong and are actually all set to 0% (not 100% as if it was a default) and not the settings I saved.
This occurs when I save a file on a G5 and try to open it on a MacPro. On both systems I am using DP 5.12. The only difference is Averb 5 vs Averb 6.
Has anyone successfully opened DP 5.x sessions that contained Averb 5 on a G5 and opened them on a MacPro with Averb 6?
A few things I've tried:
reparing permissions
creating a test session on the mac pro and opening it on the G5 (same problem happens)
contacting Audio Ease - they've been apparently trying to figure it out, but no luck so far....
Any help/feedback would be appreciated....

Yeah, they have been quick to respond overall, but they don't seem to have an answer at present.... Is it possible not very many people are simultaneously upgrading their G5, DP, and Averb as I am??chrispick wrote:...do try to contact Audio Ease directly. I've experienced quick, useful customer service from them in the past.

Hey, PT. Still no workie, eh?bigcityrecording wrote:sorry, should have mentioned that I already upgraded to 6.0.7

Have you tried a reinstall? I think it was Colonel Chrispick who talked about 6.0.7 having fixed things on his system-- which was when I'd passed that info onto you last week some time. Can't find the thread, but this is odd. It seems that some installs don't always kick in first time around.
BTW-- I've got a few questions for you about things on the MacPro in general-- Altiverb being one of them, but there are other conundra 'to boot'...
