Motu 828 problem

Hi
I have 828 firewier

and OSX platform

univirsal driver 1.4.3

DP 5.2

Appel G5

the problem is i have to turn off - the 828- and on many times to appear in the set up hardware in DP 5.2

and during play back i lost the sound and the DP hang with an error mass. about the hardware (828 )

with the built in audio the DP works fine

some times i hear high beached sound out of 828

can you help me to the cause of the problem ???

a couple of things u could try is different firewire lead try a different firewire port as well. Also try resetting the 828 but u'd have to refer to ur manual as i have the 828mk2 and i thinks in different.

unfortunately, there is no reset on the 828
