Convert Analog to ADAT with 2408 in StandAlone... How???

Post by abcdefg »

Hi!

I think that we can use the 2408 as a simple converter in stand alone mode...

How can I convert the 8 analog in to 8 ADAT out?

It's a 2408 mkIII.

Thanks!

I've done this with my 828mkII and an ADAT LX20. I used cuemix to route the analog ins to adat outs. You can probably do a similar thing with your 2408.

Hi!
Thanks!

But if my goal is to use the 2408 WITHOUT a computer?
Use it as a simple Converter?

Is it possible to achieve this in stand alone mode without the software?

Thanks!

The 828mkII remembers the cuemix settings after disconnect - don't know about the 2408. I set it up with a computer, but then I disconnected it and took it on the road with the adat. it worked great.

Thanks!
I'll try that...

And if anyone knows a specific way with the 2408, without the software, directly on the unit, let me know!
