For the benefit of those with a similar situation and software:
There is some incompatibility with PlugSound Pro and its Synths Anthology "soundcard". PSP crashes whenever loading a preset from SA whether as a VI in DP, or in stand alone mode.
I can load SA into the Universal UVI player as a VI into DP or stand alone without a problem.
At this time, the USB webesite is down due to some work being done.
If anyone has input, please post.

Removing the "UniversalUVIPlayer.component" from the Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Component folder removes the nagging Fatal Error message but still allows me to call up the UVI player which is located in the Library/Application Support/ UltimateSoundBank/UniveralUVIPlayer/UniveralUVIPlayer.bundle.
However, PSP still crashes as VI or stand alone. Removing the bundle doesn't have any impact. Still crashes.
I sent USB tech a message and will post when they reply.
The Synth Anthology is a great sounding...uh...names says it all.
Cheers

This sounds familiar, the UVIPlayer Demo causes Pro Tools (on PC) to be unstable too.flashgerkin wrote:Removing the "UniversalUVIPlayer.component" from the Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Component folder removes the nagging Fatal Error message but still allows me to call up the UVI player which is located in the Library/Application Support/ UltimateSoundBank/UniveralUVIPlayer/UniveralUVIPlayer.bundle.

Pelt me with over-ripe bananas for crying out loud!
A simple matter of upgrading to PS Pro v1.03.
No more crashing.
Not sure when 1.03 was posted. I didn't notice it while checking out RO and SA.
Whatever.
3over3,
The lastest version of the player is 1.2 for both PC and Mac. Not sure if that changes anything.
