I want to use it as a line mixer essentially,for my hardware synths, (not enough inputs on my Metric Halo ULN-2).

The A/D is just fine for synth outputs.
I wouldn't use the D/A for main monitoring though, unless you have to.
The AD/DA quality is slightly dull, but pretty sweet and "gold" sounding, IMHO.
