Wow, thanks Brad! I must say that the kit sounds fairly wide considering the minimalist mix. The overheads sound very balanced and clear. Upon reading the specs and build information on the thing I certainly am impressed. Three tubes per channel eh? It appears that it's not just a fakie single 12AX7 "tube" pre like the BlueTubes, but rather a true class-A tube based design. Damnit. I may have to add another pre to my list... You guys are a bad influence, you know that?

LOL, bad influence huh?

Yes, (3) tubes per channel. Again, I'm not saying this is the best option out there as pointed out, there is a great deal of competition. I'm fortunate enough I get to take nearly any box home and play with it, it just so happened I liked this one A LOT. The build quality is solid, no cheap design here. This was literally a no holds bard build for Presonus, many are quite surprised when they play with one of these and think of Presonus. But their stuff is good. Hmmmm come to think about it, I didn't realize how much of their stuff I've owned over the years and even currently.

Oh and by the way....THAT'S NOT ONE OF MY ADL600'S OPENED UP, IS IT??? 8)
Thank you,

Check the thread called "I got your POD right here, pal!" or something like that. I posted a sample.

Believe it or not, my favorite guitar mic (so far... not like I've had the opportunity to try zillions) is now a Groove Tubes GT-66 that I picked up on Craigslist for $250. It sounds great on my guitar. It's got presence, but the tube circuit seems to soften some of the high end sizzle and imparts a nice smoothness on the top end while still retaining clarity.

That GT66 IS a good little mic for sure--especially at that price.
