DP 5.11 Doesn't see Ampltube 2.1?????

Post by markyecho »

Hi There,

Amplitube 2.1 is suppose to appear in the inserts menu of DP's mixing desk but it is not there. I can get it to launch as a stand alone. I have looked in the Components folder and I see a square icon document for Amplitube along with all my other AU's. All the other AU icons in the folder have a colour and shape and appear in the drop insert down menu of DP's mixing desk but not Amplitube. Any ideas?

G5 1.8 Dual
1.25 Mb RAM
OS X 10.4.8
DP 5.11

How about opening a tech support case with IKMultimedia?

I had problems w amplitube LE (or whatever the heck it was called) and they were real helpful. Even reset my authorization count when troubleshooting burned them up.

Seriously if this is a problem they outta know and help you.

I beleive you log into your user area at amplitube.com and you can get started there.

If you want to try something first, get DP to scan your AU's again by throwing away the DP au preference in your user library. I am not in front of my dp machine right now to tell you the exact name or location, but if I get there in the next hour I will update this message. Or maybe somebody else will chime in.

At any rate it is located in user/library/preferences --

ON EDIT -- here is that pathway:

user/Library/Preferences/Digital Performer•„•/Audio Unit Info Cache

Throw away Audio Unit Info Cache, restart DP and let it rescan your AUs -- see if there is an error message when amplitube shows up. If not see if it works now. If not contact IK.

Best of luck.

Let us know what happens
