Okay, so I need to revisit and replace some sounds in instances of MachFive in ProTools that were initially done in v6 and whatever version of M5 was current at the time ('04-'05). now, when I re-open these session now, all hte presets are gone. Luckily, I took down what they were and was able to reload them. HOWEVER, when I try to update the session to take advantage of M5's multiple audio outs and route them to Protools aux tracks, I inevitably CRASH.....HARD. i mean ProTools just is GONE...then nothing...then the curtain comes down! the multi-lingual "You Just Crashed" curtain. Happens time and time again, regardless of session or drive or anythig else.
Anyone have this experience? I'm sure it's just me.
Oh, and stats: G4 dual 1G with 1GB RAM running 10.4.8, PT7.3.1 and MachFive 1.2.3
