UAD version 4.6.0 software is available now for download

hi-has anyone tried this update?I am kind of new w/ UAD1 :is there any reason to wait w/ a UAD update? I have never done any of their updates yet(paranoia) I am a bit leery of jumping in w/ updates until I hear how they improve things fix's etc...(no info I can find) all I see is info about the new Plug and I do want to mess things up,has anyone tried this update as of yet?or had any problems with their updates in the past? thanks

works for me. repair permissions before installing, and close all open programs during the install. once done, restart your mac before opening up DP, or trying to run the UAD-1 meter to authorize the demo for the new Helios EQ!

I've installed it. Works fine on my box (stats in signature). As far as I know, the only addition is the new EQ. I played with it a little. Didn't wow me, but EQs rarely do -- I have work with them in a mix before I really get a sense of what they do. Could be cool.

im on the fence whether to buy, i already have the neve bundle, and MWEQ is so versatile. It does sound pretty good on soloed bass tracks and on drums. like chrispick, i cant comment on how useful it would be in a mix, but the low band can really get things bumping. the low shelf (at 50hz) really sucks out bass in a hurry. A cool plugin in my opinion though.

yeah I just added the neve bundle, the precision bundle the pultec pro, and the 140 .....so I am pretty set on plugs for the moment.......still thinkin about dimension d though..........................
