Any solution to 4.6, Panther and CPU spikes??

Post by TheCoalman »

Hey all, I checked all previous threads regarding 4.6 and cpu spiking but I could not find a consensus of if the problem was resolved or not for Panther users, is there a fix for this?

thanks

I e-mailed MOTU about this and they suggested turning off background processing... apparently the background processing for the new pitch automation feature is very CPU intensive. This seems to help a bit, but not alleviate the problem entirely. What definitely WILL help is setting your memory buffer to a higher setting (if you don't have latency issues).

I will try that, I'm wondering if the problems are DCPUM related....seeing as how I never had problems in 4.5

thanks for your help
