Vertical Velocity Stack Is Horizontal???

Post by wvandyck »

This is a first.
Selecting the "Velocity Switch" option after dragging samples onto the "Drop your samples here" area, I end up with a horizontal stack. There are 3 velocity levels for this Sax instrument. Sample names are: Sax Vel1 C1, Sax Vel2 C1, Sax Vel3 C1, etc. I think something is rotten here. Any ideas on this one??? I've completed a number of multi-velocity bulk imports without this happening.

From memory (as it's been awhile since I've done it) that is the correct behaviour, if you drop them above the piano keys.

If you drop them in bulk onto the note itself however (in your example C1), it should be correct, tho you may need to rename the samples so that Velx is the last part of the name.

Thanks. You're right.
I've dragged multiple velocities of a single pitch and multiple single velocity pitches and it all works out.

Somehow I formed the impression that one could drag multi velocities and pitches, and it would all sort out. That would be a real time saver.

Cheers to M5 users.
