MegaDPuser wrote:thanks Shooshie. It sounds like you also use Waves. Do you have any guess as to how long we're talking for true 10.4.9 compatibility? I'm wondering whether we're looking at weeks versus months versus year. reading the Waves website, it certainly doesn't appear that DP is high on their priority list (if it's on the list at all)
I have no idea. But I have written them a very frank letter. And earnest. I expect to hear back from them soon: "Dear John, I've married someone else. Love, Waves." Thank goodness my name isn't John. I'll let you know if they say anything interesting.

Has anyone actually tried this? The Waves notice is hopelessly cryptic and uninformative. Maybe they could be a bit more specific.
I develop Audio Units for fun and profit, and the only problem I'm aware of with 10.4.9 is that the CoreAudio team changed auval to break plug-ins with a different number of ins and outs (i.e, about every third-party effect plug-in on the planet...). That means a few hundred thousand Logic users sending Waves 'WTF yo shizz don't pass auval--no worky in Logic' emails on Monday morning after software update upgraded them to 10.4.9.
DP doesn't rely on auval--that hazing is only foisted upon Logic users and the developers who support them--so I'd be surprised if we DP users are affected by this.
I don't use Waves any longer, but I think I still have an auth for Gold on my iLok. I'll check it out and post back.
Is anyone else noticing that apple's au matrix verb will only work smoothly if you use one instance at a time? I am routing to a Vrack and can use it on more than one track at once - but only one verb with one preset at a time. I do not believe this was a problem on my G5 imac with DP4.6. I get a weird hashy-noise overhang when more than one is in use.
Wizooverb was a brief convolution bargain at $100- untill I went to an intel macbook pro. It's useless in DP now and it doesn't seem likely they will go universal binary.
Anyone else using the audio damage? Certainly affordable @ $39
