Hey S,

Which version of Quicktime are you using? I'm still on 7.1.3 and OS 10.4.8 so, I haven't been able to try it out in DP yet. I'm just curious...
Hey 666..

10.4.9 and Quicktime 7.1.5

Everything is (otherwise) fine here.

I just wanted to add that I don't seem to have as many issues on graphic crashes as I had the other day although I'm working on different songs. It does seem smoother.

Cheers,

cuttime,
i think the general advice is to d/l the combo updater. i do this, and throw it onto my backup hd, along with all of my other installers, etc, so if it completely blows up my machine the first time around, at least i don't have to download it again to blow up my machine the second time!
seriously, some have had issues with software update, some haven't. i just always use the combo out of habit (used to d/l the nt/xp sp's too).

I went for it, albeit with my 10.4.8 DP system partition pre-cloned for safety. 10.4.9 seems to be working well. No crashes with lightweight testing to date.

Keep up the good reports, guys! I'm hanging back this time, er... covering you in the rear. Yeah, that's it. Covering you from the back side...

Ahhh... ok... ;) truth is I'm just too lazy to partition my drive for another install right now. I'd rather just see how it works for everyone else and install it when you all give me a green light. Sounds pretty good so far. Thanks for the reports.

I've always gone the combo.
I figured that way it's always going to be easier to re-install as there are no prerequisites.
That way you don't have to worry about which updater requires what.
Plus it's a single install in all circumstances.

It's probably a bit paranoid, but I also figured this way you always know the correct associated files are installed/available too.
Previously, I just hoped they were.

Today I helped install a friend's DP 5.11 on his MacPro, and he had already upgraded to 10.4.9 - had to install the Digi 002 coreaudio driver, and everything ran totally smooth. Interestingly, he couldn't open TP LE 7.1.1 anymore - one bouce and that was it... 3 cheers for DP.. :)

Take your time, 'Cornies. :D

Looks like this one could take a few weeks.

All is well on my trusty Dual 867 G4 (with quiet fan mods and Verax fans using 4 internal hard drives, 2 gigs of RAM.....gotta love this 'old' baby!)

This good old warhorse does seem 'snappier' with each OSX upgrade.

Ahh... the ol' mirror-door turbo blower.
I had one, but didn't modify it.
I think it came pre-modded with the F 111 turbines.

Good news it's a-rockin'.
The "snappier" thing strikes a chord with the monkey, too. :D

Oh I dunno. My duel G5 could give it a run when entering sleep mode.
